At one point in my life, it was very challenging for me to work like I just lack the energy needed. This made me bummed out, and uninspired. That’s when I decided to search the Internet for ways to increase my energy during the day. Caffeine can only help so much and the crash was not worth it. I composed a checklist of ideas for one to try if they are dealing with low levels of energy.
Sleeping:
In this hectic day and age, people are getting less and less sleep. If you are losing sleep that the body should be, then you’re going to have low energy throughout the day. This is usually the first thing you should check if you’re not feeling energetic throughout the day. Everyone’s body is different. Some run perfectly fine on six hours of sleep while others need 10 hours. The typical amount of sleep you should be pushing is about 8 hours, but again you have to trust your body, as it knows specifically how much you need.
If you are having trouble falling asleep at night, make sure you’re not doing anything active in the last hour that you’re awake. The brain needs time to settle down and you will find it difficult to sleep if you keep your brain active right before bed. Try reading a book or magazine just before bed rather than watch TV that excite the mind.
Drink more water:
Dehydration is the most popular cause of low energy. If you ever find a feeling of being thirsty, you’re dehydrated. You should be drinking enough water throughout the day so you hardly this feeling. Being drought has other effects such as crank ness, decreased intelligence, and just general fatigue.
Exercise:
Exercise is a no-brainer to raise energy. Try your best to do some kind of exercise like walking, jogging, or any other type of cardio that feels satisfying to you. With low energy, you can feel uninspired to get up and move after about 10 minutes of moving, you will feel a lot better and you’ll probably continue.
The longer and more intense exercise, the more endorphins your brain will release, and the better you will feel.
Proper nutrition (reduced sugar):
Proper nutrition is one of the most important factors in determining your energy level. The body needs to absorb nutrients from the food you eat and convert it into energy. Our bodies can not function effectively off of a diet that is just pure sugar and empty calories. On the back of this, “healthy” diets like the Atkins diet, reduce carbohydrates (the main source of energy for the body) and can also make you feel recession.
Your best bet is a balanced diet consisting of carbohydrates, proteins and good fats. Try your best to cook meals ahead of time so that you are less likely to prepare frozen unhealthy meals. Try to eat fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
Drink green tea:
It has been shown green tea to amplify energy as well as help you lose weight. Try replacing green tea with morning coffee, as well as to decaffeinated green tea at night. The polyphenols in green tea can help the body in many ways. Try your best to drink green tea directly if possible. Drinking green tea with the load it is full of sugar is not going to help your situation.
Multivitamins (especially Magnesium):
Low levels of energy can be caused by lack of nutrients in the body. Even if you are eating a balanced diet, sometimes the body of certain nutrients. This is where multivitamins come in. The multivitamin is a must to keep your body flooded with proper nutrition. There is no substitute for eating healthy, but vitamin pills will help improve all the nutrients you lack.
Final Thoughts:
If you try these tips and you still find that your energy is low, then you should talk to your doctor, because you have a condition such as anemia. Your doctor will be able to do some tests to see if there is something medically wrong with you. Now stop reading this article and start practicing!
